SMT becomes HID’s first OEM Partner in Vietnam and launches S-SAFE software in Ho Chi Minh City
SMT Technology was recognised as HID’s first OEM Partner in Vietnam and launched S-SAFE Access Control software, an important step in its strategy of cooperation and security solution development in Vietnam.
As demand for unified security grows, SMT Technology and its international partners have just presented a series of new solutions in Ho Chi Minh City, stressing the connecting role of software, devices and artificial intelligence in modern security systems.

Ho Chi Minh City – SMT Technology has just held the "Unified Security Solution Showcase", bringing together major physical security brands such as HID, Genetec and Vaidio. The event presented the unified security ecosystem and marked important steps in the cooperation strategy between SMT and its global partners.

HID OEM Partner certification
At the event, SMT announced that it had become HID’s first OEM Partner in the Vietnamese market – the highest level of cooperation between HID and its partners in the region. According to the company representative, the certification reflects HID’s recognition of "SMT’s technical, integration and solution development capabilities in Access Control".
This step also lets SMT take more initiative in researching, customising and developing solutions suited to businesses in Vietnam, while opening opportunities for deeper cooperation within HID’s global ecosystem.
Launch of S-SAFE Access Control software
Another highlight of the event was the launch of S-SAFE Access Control software, developed by SMT’s engineers and integrated directly with the HID Controller. The software aims to provide a "secure, flexible and user-friendly access management platform" while ensuring scalability and compatibility with many different systems.

According to plan, S-SAFE is expected to be commercialised at the end of 2025, marking an important step in SMT’s strategy of technological self-reliance and developing domestic security solutions.

The unified security ecosystem
Besides HID, the event featured Genetec (video management platform – VMS) and Vaidio (AI Video Analytics), giving a hands-on experience of the unified security ecosystem. Guests saw directly how VMS, Access Control and AI Analytics can operate together on one platform, optimising monitoring, speeding up response and centralising management – a trend seen as the future of the security industry.

At the close of the programme, SMT’s representative stressed its long-term investment in research and development, aiming to deliver "smart, effective security solutions that fit the real needs of Vietnamese businesses".
In the spirit of "Partnership – Sharing – Development", SMT affirmed it will keep working with international partners such as HID, Genetec and Vaidio to set a new standard for the Physical Security industry in Vietnam.
