SMT and HID successfully hold the “Unified Security Solution Showcase” and announce a strategic partnership in physical security control

At the event, SMT and HID gave live demos of the unified security solution, including central monitoring software, face recognition access control, security alert and alarm systems and a Security Dashboard.

Notably, the event marked an important milestone as SMT Technology and HID Global officially announced a strategic partnership in Physical Access Control Systems (PACS). SMT thereby became HID’s first OEM Partner in Vietnam, opening a new stage in the technology cooperation between the two companies.

With this step, SMT is granted the highest level of authorisation and technical support from HID in the Vietnamese market, confirming SMT’s role not only as a distributor but as a pioneering strategic partner working with HID to develop and expand the physical security solution ecosystem in Vietnam.

Also at the event, SMT introduced the S-SAFE software product, developed by SMT’s engineers on a platform integrated with the HID Aero Controller, with compatibility to be extended to more device lines in the future. S-SAFE will also gradually add other security applications within the Physical Security ecosystem.

S-SAFE was created to build a specialised software platform for Physical Security – “Make in Vietnam” – while leveraging the strength of high-quality, world-renowned hardware.

S-SAFE is expected to be officially commercialised from December 2025, focusing on access control combined with camera monitoring, marking an important step in SMT’s journey of developing “Made by SMT” software solutions.
